Meagan Monique Good was born on August 8th, 1981 within the Panorama City neighborhood of Los Angeles to Tyra Wardlow-Doyle. Her mother managed her in her teens. Her dad Leondis Leon Good is an LAPD police officer. Her family consisted of three brothers at home in Canyon Country in California and started her acting career when she was just four years old. She started her acting career by working as an actor in TV programs such as Doogie Howser Amen, M.D. and Doogie Howser Amen. Her first movie, "Friday", was made in 1995, at the age of 13. The film first gained attention in 1997 with her performance as Cisely batiste (a struggling teenage girl) as a troubled teenager in Eve's Bayou, for which she won two nominations as well as an N.A.A.C.P. Image Award nomination. Good was able to play small film and television roles for the next couple of years, before transitioning to more mature roles during the early 2000s.
