Harry Edward Styles - also called Harry Styles - is a British musician and songwriter. Harry Styles has been credited as composing songs to The One Direction band. The band is based in Holmes Chapel in Cheshire England, Styles is the child of Des Styles & Anne Cox. Harry Styles was a student at Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School, where together with his three classmates He formed his own group, White Eskimo. In 2009 they participated in the Battle of Bands where thanks to their impressive performances they were winners. While he's always fascinated by music, he also interested in becoming an lawyer or physiotherapist. Part-time work in a city bakery is his very first opportunity in order to provide for his family. For the year 2010 Harry Styles presented audition for The X Factor where he performed the song Is not She Lovely by Stevie Wonder and was selected. For that reason his band had to separate. The audition was held on The X Factor the jury Nicole Scherzinger suggested that Harry Styles be part of a future band that would be dubbed One Direction along with Liam Payne Zayn Malik Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson. The group's creation began in 2010 and the five youngsters were funded by Simon Cowell. The band performed songs such as My Life Would Suffer Without You which was written by Kelly Clarkson, and Total Eclipse of the Heart, by Bonnie Tyler during the competition. The group was one of the contenders to win the award. They came third in front of Rebecca Ferguson. Harry Styles, his group and Cowell did not take home the prize. However, Cowell offered Harry Styles a 2 million pound contract to sign up with Syco.
